Bothnian Bay

The Bothnian Bay or Bay of Bothnia lies at the north of the Gulf of Bothnia which is the northern part of the Baltic Sea. The bay is surrounded by Sweden to the west, Finland to the east, and the Kvarken sound to the south. Oulu, Kemi and Raahe are the major ports on the Finnish side.

The Bay covers the maximum depth of about 482 feet (147 m). It has the maximum rate of rising of land by post-glacial spring back in the Baltic Sea.
