The Camotes Sea is a small sea lies within the Philippine archipelago, between the Eastern Visayas and the Central VisayasIt is bounded by the islands of Leyte to the north and east, Cebu to the west and Bohol to the south
The sea is joined to the Visayan Sea to the northwest, and to the Bohol Sea to the south by the Canigao Channel and Cebu StraitCamotes and Mactan Islands are the islands near the sea.The major cities of the area are Ormoc City and Baybay in Leyte province, and Cebu City in Cebu
