DESCRIPTION

These are one of the most slippery of all the larger whales, but they won't come to offshore.These whales at different period of year are tend to be found in both Southern and Northern hemispheres. They are rarely found in Antarctica.

DIET

Sei whales acquires food by gliding through the water and catching prey in its baleen plates . An average sei whale can eat about 900 kgs of zooplankton and other small fishes per day.

Behaviour

This behavior is deviant for this whale, who normally have inevitable distribution. No one knows where sei whales breed. The life span of a sei whale is apparently more then 50 years. Sei whales have a sundry diet.

Habitat

The Sei whale is one of the quickest moving whale, reaching speed up to 30 miles per hour. They inhabit all the oceans and next to seas except in tropical and polar regions.

Location or Region Found

In the North Atlantic, Sei whales found from the coast of Labrador to the coast of Greenland and Iceland. In the East Atlantic, they migrate from north to northern waters off Norway, Shetland, Orkney and the Faeroe Islands and sometimes Svalbard.
