Gulf of Aden
The Gulf of Aden lies in the Arabian Sea, connecting Yemen, of the Arabian Peninsula and Somalia, in Africa. It bonds with Red Sea in the northwest, via the Bab-el-Mandeb strait.
The gulf is a part of the main Suez Canal transport route between the Mediterranean Sea and the Arabian Sea in the Indian Ocean. The gulf is called as "Pirate Alley" because of much pirate activity in the area.
Ecology: The gulf is the home for variety of fish, coral, seabirds, and invertebrates.
